JOHNNY AND THE EAST COAST ROCKERS

Where people are swinging in Rhode Island and Connecticut, Johnny and The East Coast Rockers are playing. A premiere Rhythm and Blues dance band in the Northeast for over 30 years, Johnny MacLeod and his band perform original tunes and favorite covers from the 40's, 50's, and 60's in an eclectic mix, that combines elements of traditional blues, swing, jazz, R&B, and roots rock.

MacLeod's unique output appeals to a wide range of musical tastes and his upbeat approach to the blues keeps his audience tapping their feet.

Johnny MacLeod

Johnny MacLeod fronts the band with vocals, guitar, slide, and harmonica. Johnny's upbeat approach to blues makes his music unique and gets his audience out on the dance floor.

MacLeod has been playing the guitar since he was 10 and over the years has developed his self-taught, home-grown style of blues.

Johnny also writes many of the bands original songs and has produced 11 of their CDs on his own label "Blue Seal Records."

He has also performed in Ireland, Scotland, England, Portugal and Canada.

The Band

The East Coast Rockers consist of drums, bass, piano, and sax. With additional guest horns blowing out some sizzlin' tunes, mix in some crisp but stinging guitar riffs, boogie-woogie piano, gritty vocals and you have one cut-to-the bone jump-blues band ready to roll.

The band has shared the stage with such greats as Johnny Clyde Copeland, Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater, Lucky Peterson, Roomful of Blues, Clifton Chenier, Greg Piccolo, Bruce Katz, and Jack Smith and the Rockabilly Planet.
